David Wong is a Board member and former Chairman of the Methodist Welfare Services, and has, over the years, served in various leadership roles within the Methodist church in Singapore. He is also a Board member of the Bone Marrow Donor Programme, and was formerly the President of the YMCA of Singapore. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants, and was previously a partner with Ernst & Young. He is currently the Chairman of the Republic Polytechnic, and is a Board member of several companies, including United Engineers Ltd, PEC Ltd, the Energy Market Company, Banking Computer Services Pte Ltd, and PacificMas Bhd. He is also a Board member of the Casino Regulatory Authority of Singapore. David has been awarded the Public Service Star (Bar) and the Public Administration (Military) Medal (Silver).
