In a distinguished career spanning over 35 years, Ravi Manchanda has a wealth of experience across both the corporate and banking sector in Asian and the UK.
He joined Westpac Banking Corporation in 2014, to drive growth through the Australia, Asia corridor across the bank's corporate and institutional franchise. As the Chief Executive for Westpac's Singapore operations he plays an integral leadership role with strategic oversight for operational management, responsible for forging links with government, regulators and the business and banking community.
Prior to Westpac, Ravi built a track record for business growth and expanding key relationships at Deutsche Bank as Head of Corporate Banking Coverage in Singapore and Standard Chartered Bank as Managing Director of Origination Client Coverage
In the corporate sector, Ravi held numerous executive roles, including as a Chairman and CEO of a Bumiputra Group in Malaysia in Steel and in Infrastructure Development, CEO of a corporate finance house in UK specialising in credit insurance, factoring, private equity, trade finance and corporate finance.
Ravi speaks English, Mandarin and Malay and is deeply passionate about building a sustainable long term business. He was conferred a Datoship in 2013 in Malaysia for helping create job opportunities and furthering interests of Bumi Companies in Malaysia.
