Mr TK Yap, CFA

Honorary Adviser, SIAS

After spending most of his career in frontline roles facing customers, TK became the Chief Transformation Officer at CGS-CIMB Securities to future proof the firm, drive change management, and achieve business oriented outcomes across its Platforms, Technology and Operations backend functions.

 

He has worked in both foreign and local firms, buy and sell sides, origination and distribution, across research, sales, trading, execution, as well as across technology, operations, platforms. Most of his career was in regional electronic trading of cash equities, where scalable technology was key.


TK is a CFA charterholder and IBF Fellow. His industry contributions include serving on committees and workgroups under MAS, SAS, SGX, IBF and SIAS. He was Past President of the CFA Society Singapore and was on the Board of the CFA Institute. 

Mr Dinesh Dayani,

Co-Founder, DollarsAndSense

Dinesh is the Co-Founder of leading personal finance publication DollarsAndSense. He also hosts “The Building Series”, a podcast show where he speaks to business leaders. He enjoys being part of the Sandwich Generation – spending much of his free time with his two boys, while also living with his parents. He tries to read and play sports when possible.

Charles has been involved in various parts of the Singapore capital market for the last 20 years. He started his career with Singapore Exchange Ltd (“SGX”) in 2000 and had been involved in all facets of the business from listing promotion to issuer regulation. In 2011, Charles left SGX to start Handshakes where he currently helms as Co-Founder and Chief Products Officer.  

 You can find Charles experimenting with novel approaches to understanding Handshakes data and taking its innovation to the next level. Charles is an intellectual who can’t resist a new challenge. He enjoys solving difficult problems. Charles is an independent director of NYSE-listed Ryde Group Ltd and is also a member of the Catalist Approval Committee of SAC Capital Private Limited. 

Dr David Smith,

Senior Investment Director, abrdn

David Smith is a Senior Investment Director based in Singapore at abrdn, where he leads ESG research and integration across Asia. David heads the Asia Responsible Investing pod, which oversees the day-to-day running of the Asian SDG Equity Fund and is a member of the GEM Responsible Investing pod. He is also responsible for leading engagement with board members and management of abrdn’s investee companies in Asia. David spearheads our public advocacy on ESG issues, representing the company at leading international organisations dedicated to improving corporate best practice. He has appeared frequently at regional conferences and industry round tables, and has written for various newspapers and professional publications globally.  

Before joining the company in 2011, he worked for ISS as head of Asia (ex-Japan) research. David has a PhD in Corporate Governance and an MA in Corporate Strategy and Governance from the University of Nottingham and a BSc in Business Economics from the University of Wales. He is a CFA Charterholder.

Mr Rajesh Sreenivasan

Rajesh Sreenivasan is a Partner and Head of the Technology, Media & Telecommunications Law Practice at Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP and the Coordinating Partner for the firms’ multidisciplinary and cross-practice Data and Digital Economy (DDE) Legal Services.  He is a Director and Co-founder of Rajah & Tann Technologies Pte Ltd and Rajah & Tann Cybersecurity Pte Ltd which are the Legaltech arms of Rajah & Tann Asia.  With over 20 years in practice, he has been universally recognised as the leading technology, media and telecoms lawyer in Singapore by all major professional ranking agencies and noted as one of the top TMT lawyers the Asia Pacific region. Rajesh has been at the forefront of legal, regulatory and policy matters relating to technology procurement, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data protection, analytics and governance, telecommunications, electronic commerce, cloud computing, distributed ledger technologies, digital forensics and digital media in the region. He has since built a team of over 50 lawyers with significant depth. 

 Rajesh is the only Singapore lawyer serving on the Legal Advisory Group to the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) UK Centre for Digital Trade and Innovation. As an appointed member of the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) OECD project, he contributes actively to the multinational initiative by providing a representative deep dive into Singapore’s legislations on Artificial Intelligence and brainstorming on innovative best practices in complying with global regulatory guidelines.

Ms Beh Siew Kim,

Beh Siew Kim is the Chief Financial & Sustainability Officer, Lodging at CapitaLand Investment, with a concurrent role as Managing Director, Japan and Korea at The Ascott Limited (Ascott).

Ms Beh oversees all aspects of the Lodging division’s finance, treasury, and investor relations functions, and leads Ascott’s sustainability strategy in alignment with the group’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals. In addition, she manages Ascott’s business and operations in Japan and Korea.

Ms Beh is also a non-executive, non-independent director of CapitaLand Ascott Trust (CLAS), the largest lodging trust in Asia Pacific that is listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange with an asset value of S$8.7 billion as at 31 December 2023.

Ms Beh has over 30 years of experience in financial, investment, asset management, corporate planning, compliance, and audit.

Mr Eric Lim,

Chief Sustainability Officer,
UOB

Mr Eric Lim is Managing Director and the Chief Sustainability Officer at United
Overseas Bank Limited (UOB). His role is to drive UOB’s sustainability strategy and objectives of helping businesses and individuals transition to a sustainable future and fostering social and environmental well-being among colleagues and communities.
Eric was also the Head of Group Finance from 2013 to 2022, where he was
responsible for the Bank’s core finance functions spanning financial strategy, capital management, regulatory and financial reporting, tax management, business finance and performance management.

Eric holds positions in key UOB management committees, including Chairperson of the Group Sustainability Committee. He is also a member of the Management Committee and the Asset and Liability Committee, and holds directorships in UOB affiliated companies.

Prior to joining UOB, Eric was Managing Director and Head of Wholesale Banking Finance, Singapore and Southeast Asia for Standard Chartered Bank, responsible for driving the strategic partnership between the wholesale business and finance teams. During this time, Eric led the finance functions covering commercial banking, financial markets and investment banking.

Eric began his career with GE Capital where he took on various executive positions in the areas of financial planning and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, audit and controllership. He lived and worked in more than 20 countries, with particular focus in the USA and Japan during that time.

Eric holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the Nanyang Technological University and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University

Mr Helge Muenkel,

Group Chief Sustainability Officer,
DBS Bank

Helge is the Chief Sustainability Officer at DBS. He is responsible for developing DBS’ overarching sustainability framework and driving sustainability initiatives across the bank. He acts as Secretary to the bank’s Board Sustainability Committee, and chairs the Group Sustainability Council, which comprises senior leaders across business and support units.

Helge represents DBS in several global and regional bodies and working groups such as the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, the technical committee of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), which will develop its first global reporting sector guidance for banks, the Industry Advisory Panel of the ASEAN’s Joint Sustainable Finance Working Group, the Green Skills Committee convened by Singapore’s Ministry of Trade & Industry in partnership with SkillsFuture Singapore or Singapore’s Sustainability Reporting Advisory Committee. He is also appointed as alternate director in Climate Impact X Pte Ltd, a Singapore based global carbon market and exchange, and sits on the Impact Advisory Panel of the Asia Impact First Fund.

Prior to joining DBS, Helge was Head of Asia Pacific, Sustainable Finance and Global Capital Markets at ING, where he worked for 10 years. In this role, he successfully grew the bank’s regional business of sustainability-related advisory services and sustainable finance transactions across products. He was also part of ING’s global Sustainable Finance and Capital Markets management teams as well as the bank’s global Sustainable Finance Quality Board. Before that, he spent more than 12 years in various roles at Deutsche Bank AG and UniCredit Group being based in different cities across Europe, the US and Asia Pacific.

Helge holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from Munich University (major in Developing Economics) as well as a postgraduate degree in sustainability from Cambridge University. He is also a CFA charter holder.
