What does it take to be a Warrant or DLC Trader?
  • Societe Generale runs a weekly DLC webcast together with a prominent trader providing market commentary and DLC updates. This trader has also recently shared in an article with DrWealth on a day in his life as an active trader and particularly his experience trading the DLCs.
  • Macquarie has launched a videos series titled Success Speaks where aspiring warrant traders can hear from experienced warrant traders on what it takes to be a warrant trader and to learn some useful tips before they embark on their own trading journey.
  • Trading Warrants and DLCs require one to actively monitor the markets and thus might not be suitable for everyone. However for those keen to take the leap, these testimonials will shed light on what it takes to be a Warrant and DLC trader, and hopefully provide a few tips too.

Specified Investment Products

Structured warrants and Daily Leverage Certificates are examples of Specified Investment Products (SIPs). The MAS has introduced measures for intermediaries to safeguard the interests of individual investors investing in SIPs, which are products with features that might be more complex in nature. Investors now have the opportunity to assess their qualifications to trade SIP or enhance their product knowledge through the SGX online portal available here. Speak to your broker to find out how you can qualify to trade SIPs.
