When David approached me to be the First Chief Patron of SIAS, I was happy to accept his invitation as I firmly believe in what SIAS, a charity, is doing for retail investors and ordinary citizens.
I am honoured to be the First Chief Patron of SIAS.

SIAS has come a long way and has consistently proved its relevance to our capital markets development.
I am pleased that SIAS is continuing to play a useful role in educating ordinary citizens to manage and grow their money, partnering MoneySense and People’s Association in its promotion of financial literacy and investor education. SIAS is also assisting to resolve shareholder issues in the boardroom and raising the quality of AGMs by helping shareholders to raise relevant and helpful questions and encouraging them to engage the boards constructively.
More important, SIAS is providing meaningful feedback to our regulators in their formulation of policies relating to improving governance.
I would like to thank all of you who have believed in what SIAS is doing and have actively supported it.
I hope you will continue to support SIAS.
