SIAS is advised that Lehman Brothers Inc is in liquidation in the US and all creditors must lodge their claims with the US trustee, James W. Giddens, appointed under the Securities Investor Protection Act of 1970, as amended (“SIPA”) on or before 1 June 2009. This may include investors in Minibond Series 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 which are the notes arranged by Lehman Brothers Inc.
Lehman Brothers Inc. is the only Lehman entity that is a debtor in this SIPA liquidation proceeding.

SIAS, together with our legal advisers, will hold another dialogue session with investors of Minibond notes on 5th May 2009 at 7.00pm at the URA Centre Auditorium, Function Hall, Level 5, Podium.
The dialogue session will be confined to the following issues:
- The procedure & deadline for filing claims with SIPA
- The difficulties such claims may be facing
- The reality of recovering any monies invested
- The implications of making such a claim, including the consequences of submission to US jurisdiction, and the possibility of any future proceedings in Singapore being stayed.
- The options available to investors.
