Singapore, 20 February 2009… The recent events in global financial markets as well as in Singapore have underscored need for more comprehensive financial education and prompted SIAS, together with The Associations Banks of Singapore and MoneySENSE, a national financial education programme, to embark on a series of investor education programmes, both in english and chinese, to enable retail investors to be responsible investors. It is important for retail investors to receive product education.
The inaugural seminar will be held this Saturday, 21 February 2009 at 9.00am and will feature the following topics:
- Financial Needs Analysis – What You Need to Know
- Traditional and Structured Deposits – What’s the Difference?
- Understanding Unit Trusts
- Understanding Risk-Return Trade-offs
