Press Release: SIAS Questions to Great Eastern for the upcoming EGM

Date: June 20, 2025

SIAS has been actively involved in the ongoing attempt by OCBC to delist Great Eastern (GE) over the past year. It has been a complicated exercise with many twists and turns which may be confusing to minority shareholders who are still holding on to their GE shares, unsure of what is the best way forward for them.

To aid investors make sense of the current situation, SIAS has sent a list of questions to GE to prepare shareholders who intend to attend the upcoming 8 July Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) at which they will have to vote on whether GE should be delisted or not.

It would be timely if these issues are highlighted so as to ensure shareholders are adequately prepared for the EGM.

The questions are attached for your kind reference.

Thank you.
